MPLS PNT is a secure Virtual Private Network (VPN) service. It allows you to use a single network connection at each location to link any network services together, allowing you to extend your private networking services to multiple locations without the need to deploy multiple network connections. AT&T MPLS PNT follows the security/ standards defined in RFC 2547.
There are three key reasons to use MPLS PNT:
Internet Protocol Virtual Private Networking (IP VPN)
Replaces expensive private Frame Relay or Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) connections
Provides a simpler, IP-based platform to merge multiple networks into a unified IP structure
What is MPLS?
MPLS is a protocol that provides for the secure transmission of data, traffic engineering services and quality of service (QoS) guarantees sent over Internet Protocol (IP) networks.
MPLS PNT Benefits
State-of-the-Art VPN Models
Private Network Transport(PNT) provides the performance, reliability, predictability and security of a carrier-operated, managed MPLS-based network.
Four Classes of Service
Classes of Service (COS) allows you to set bandwidth allocations suited to the type of traffic you run, meaning that a large file transfer will never overwhelm your other data streams.
End-to-End Security
MPLS PNT data travels only over the AT&T global IP network, lessening the risk of others intercepting your data.
Easily Scalable
New locations need only connect to the closest AT&T router in our global IP network, reducing complexity and expense.
Using the AT&T global MPLS-based VPN platform, the AT&T Telepresence Solution offers an "in-person" meeting experience.
